Daycare – FAQ
Are parents allowed to tour the daycare facility before enrolling their child?
Parents are welcome to schedule a tour of the daycare facility before enrolling. This allows you to explore the space, meet the educators, and ask any questions to ensure it’s the right fit for your child and family.
Is your daycare eligible for government subsidies or financial assistance?
Families may be eligible for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), a payment from the Australian Government to help with the cost of quality childcare. Eligibility depends on income and activity tests, and information can be accessed through Centrelink. Please ask about these options during enrolment to see how they can reduce your out-of-pocket costs.
What is the staff-to-child ratio for infant daycare?
The staff-to-child ratio for infant daycare is 1 educator for every 4 infants. This ensures that each child receives the care, attention, and support they need in a safe and nurturing environment tailored to their development.
Are meals or snacks provided as part of the long day care service?
Parents are required to pack meals and snacks for their child when attending long day care. Essentials like water and sunscreen are provided to ensure children stay hydrated and protected during the day, but all food must be supplied by families.
