Facebook reviews:

I have had both my children here over the last 7 years. I can not recommend this place enough. The staff have been more then accommodating, open for suggestion and a general chat. Scallywags all the way.

Kindergarten – FAQ

1. What’s the difference between daycare and kindy?

Kindy specifically targets children in the year before they start formal schooling, focusing on preparing children for the school by introducing structured learning alongside play-based activities. Kindy programs are designed to develop early literacy, numeracy, and social skills, making it a great step before starting formal schooling.

Pre school in Queensland is designed for children who are at least 4 years old by 30 June in the year they attend. It’s the year before Prep, helping children develop essential skills for formal schooling. While not compulsory, pre school provides valuable preparation for a smooth transition to school.

Does your kindergarten school follow a specific curriculum?

Our government-approved and subsidised kindergarten program follows the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline, ensuring a high-quality, play-based approach to early education. Led by a qualified early childhood teacher and supported by experienced educators, the program is tailored to each child’s strengths, interests, and developmental needs, preparing them for a confident transition to school.

Our community preschool welcomes children from all backgrounds, creating an inclusive and diverse environment. This approach helps children learn about different cultures and perspectives while fostering a sense of belonging and community, which is essential for their social and emotional development.
